Capturing Life’s Truest Moments with a Life-Long Passion for Photography
“There is something special about being encompassed by the pure joy radiating from everyone…and I love it.”
I’ve always loved photography!
Growing up, my mother was always sure to capture every special moment of our family’s lives through photography. Whether it be a birthday, holiday or just a beautiful summer day, she always had a camera in her hand. Every birthday candle we blew out and every gift we opened on Christmas was captured on film by my mother.
In the summer, my mom always took us kids to the beach. Her photographs record vacations at our favorite motel in Wildwood, New Jersey — The Winward. I still have those photos documenting us as we grew older at the pool each year. My mother made sure to preserve those moments, so when the day came that she was no longer with us, the memories would last forever.
I was about 10 years old when I held my first camera, my mother’s Minolta. It was the spark that ignited my passion for photography. When she passed, I adopted that camera along with my favorite, her Polaroid camera. I use it to this day. I feel a little piece of her every time I take a photo.
Pursuing a Career in Photography
When I expressed interest in photography, my dad bought me my first digital camera. With his encouragement, I decided to follow my dreams and pursue a career in photography. It was his love and support that fueled my drive to learn as much as I could. And it’s because of him that I’m a photographer today.
My photography education began at Central Bucks High School South. Through black and white film courses, I developed a deeper love and appreciation for photography. From there, I earned an associate degree in Photography from Bucks County Community College with Kimberly Witham and began my career.
At the age of 19, I started taking on clients. As the youngest of six and with an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins, I naturally focused on children and family portraits. Capturing families interacting with each other—the candid moments, the fleeting moments—and highlighting their loving connection is always an extremely rewarding experience.
From there, I began to photograph weddings. As the day unfolds, documenting the big events, the small moments and the unexpected, I am witness to a couple’s love story. When capturing the genuine emotion and excitement of the day, I find myself holding back tears during vows and speeches as if I’ve known them my entire life. There is something special about being encompassed by the pure joy radiating from everyone. It’s a feeling like no other. And I love it.
Lasting Client Relationships
I am honored to maintain lasting relationships with my clients as their families grow and change. From the thrill of an engagement to the happiness of a wedding day, from the glow of an expectant mother to the innocence of a newborn baby, I strive to capture all of life’s purest moments so your memories can last forever.
